Personality Style at Work: “special pattern” (d)CSI
Title at PeopleKeys: Content Writer
What I do at PeopleKeys: I have the greatest job in the world! I blog for PeopleKeys, write press releases, generate website content, and help out with any projects that require new text. In order to get ideas for the pieces I write, I get the chance to preview new DISC courses and try out all of the various assessments. I’ve learned so much about myself and others from my time at PeopleKeys, and I feel really fortunate to have had the chance to learn so much about DISC and its applications.
How does my personality fit with my position: My work DISC style is a “special pattern”: High C, S, and I, with a low D. This means that even though my D is the lowest on the chart, I’m still able to take charge when I’m needed. This really serves me well as a writer, where I have to be in responsible for generating ideas, setting deadlines, and getting projects finished in a timely fashion. My high C is great for keeping me organized, while the secret D in me keeps me from getting so hyper-focused on one project that I neglect everything else.
What personality style do I admire: I am really envious of the I personality style. I love socializing in small groups, but big groups can make me shut down and become really quiet. I wish I had the confidence and outgoing nature of the I. Sometimes, I feel like I live entirely inside my head. I personalities live in the moment, and I think that’s amazing.
