Frequently Asked Questions

What does the StudentKeys Program include?

The StudentKeys program includes six workbooks that teachers, counsellors and parents can review with a student independently or in small groups. Each workbook can be self-interpreted or introduced using lesson plans from a corresponding Leader’s Guide. The StudentKeys workbooks and leader’s guides guide students towards a better understanding of:

1. Personality Style

The Personality Style Workbook helps students understand their own unique DISC personality style, their strengths, limitations, and motivations. It also helps them gain an appreciation of other personality styles so they may relate better with professors, roommates, and friends.

2. Perceptual Learning Style

To get the most out of their education, it is important that students understand the ways in which they perceive information through their senses. The Perceptual Learning Style Workbook teaches students about the differences between auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learning, and helps them identify the learning and teaching strategies that best suit their personality.

3. Cognitive Thinking Style

The Cognitive Thinking Style Workbook is designed to help students understand the various ways people think and process information. It explains the differences between four cognitive styles (literal, intuitive, theoretical, and experiential), and offers personalized tips to improve academic performance.

4. Values Style

The Values Style Workbook points out internal motivators that students use to make decisions. By identifying values styles (loyalty, equality, personal freedom, and justice) students can see how their values impact their personal and professional choices.

5. Career Choice

The Career Choice Workbook shows students how to use their DISC personality type to find a satisfying career that’s a perfect fit for their temperament and natural strengths.

6. Goal Setting

The Goal Setting Workbook emphasizes the importance of setting realistic goals, and provides practical solutions for meeting personal, professional, and academic objectives. The Goal Setting Workbook is packed with planning strategies, goal-setting tips, and practical exercises, all of which have beneficial real-world applications.
